HAWAIʻI COMMUNITY COLLEGE APPRENTICESHIP

Over the past 38 years, we have hired graduate students of this program to give them a start in the Electrical industry and trade. To date, more than 50 graduates have been hired and trained at T&T ELECTRIC, INC. About 6 of them, have since gained experience and went on to open their own contracting businesses and hired more apprentices.

UNIVERSITY OF HAWAIʻI FOUNDATION

Recognizing the importance of higher Education and the pipeline to our Electrical Construction industry, we have pledged scholarships under the T&T Electric Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technology Scholarship for (2) students enrolled in the Electrical for the next 5 years.

“Thank you very much for your gift to the T&T Electric Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technology Scholarship at Hawai’i Community College. Now more than ever, we are grateful for the continuing partnership of our community. Your support of the University of Hawai’i is an investment in first-class research and education. It is an endorsement of Hawai’i’s future leaders and their essential formation. Your ongoing commitment to scholarship in particular, is an investment in the leaders of tomorrow. Your support makes it possible for our talented students to reach their potential, achieve their dreams and change their communities for the better.”

HILO DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT

For the past few years, we have partnered with the COH Traffic Division and we both donated labor and equipment to install the Christmas Lighting along Kamehameha Avenue to brighten up and enlighten the Community’s spirit during the Holiday Season.

HOPE SERVICES HAWAI’I

The 2018 Kilauea eruption damaged more that 700 home is the Lower Puna District. Hundreds of individuals and families lost their homes. We came up with a concept to build temporary shelters for these displaced families. In partnership with many other individuals, businesses, contractors and community groups, we constructed 20 small modular homes at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church property in Pahoa. Leonard & Suellen also donated a high tech Smartflower Solar PV unit to help offset their electrical consumption.

HALE HANAKAHI EMERGENCY SHELTER

Security for this homeless shelter was of major concern, so we donated labor and equipment to install security lighting around the premises for a safer environment.

MERRIE MONARCH FESTIVAL

For the past 38 years, we have partnered with Aunty Dotty and now Aunty Luana in the temporary wiring of the Edith Kanakaole Stadium facility that provides the energy necessary for the week long Hula Festival. Energy for stage lighting, sound, TV cameras, concessions and security lighting are all part of our community service for the Merrie Monarch Festival.

VARIOUS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS

We have been fortunate enough to receive thousands of pounds of Grade B sweet potatoes on a weekly basis from a generous farmer associate of ours. We have donated these to various churches, associations and community non-profits, including the Hawaii Island Food Basket, the Hawaiʻi County Economic Opportunity Council, the Hawaiʻi Salvation Army, and West Hawaiʻi Community Health Center.
